Eng. Walid Muhammad Al-Zoubi


Engineer Walid Muhammad Al-Zoubi is a Syrian businessman with significant contributions in the fields of business, education, and community development. One of his most important and prominent works is supporting the education sector for over 30 years. The activities of Engineer Walid Al-Zoubi's educational and charitable institutions have focused on education at all levels as a fundamental entry point for investing in human capital and social development for local communities, building the capacities of its students and enabling them to continue their studies. The work of these institutions has not been limited to inside Syria only, but they have also operated their activities and programs in Jordan, Egypt, the UAE, and Turkey, providing services to displaced and refugee Syrians in these countries as a result of the war that has lasted for more than 14 years.


Mr. Al-Zoubi's support and financial spending on education and participation in human development and building individuals is based on a genuine approach that is far from appearances. His activities and programs are based on adopting specialized institutional and professional work that is free from improvisation and randomness, ensuring continuity, inclusiveness, and sustainability.


Therefore, the educational institutions he established are numerous, and their activities vary to include different educational stages, including:

  • The Future Builders Schools, which contributed to educating more than fifteen thousand displaced Syrian students in the diaspora.
  • Al-Yarmouk Schools in Syria.
  • Al-Yarmouk Rawaef Schools in Jordan.
  • American Schools in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Al-Yarmouk Private University, which he established in Syria in 2005, is a prestigious institution that has become a beacon of knowledge and innovation.
  • He participated in several Jordanian universities such as Al-Jadara University, Al-Zarqa University, and Jerash University.






The most prominent activities and programs of the Walid Al-Zoubi Charitable Foundation include:

  • Providing a scholarship for 100 Syrian students to continue their studies at Gaziantep University in Turkey.
  • Contributing to the funding of printing two million books from the curriculum that was adopted by Syrian schools in Turkey and northern Syria during the revolution in cooperation with the Science Authority.
  • Providing 200 scholarships as part of the Distinguished Professor Project for Syrian displaced high school graduates who continued their studies at Jordanian universities to graduate as teachers in various fields, such as: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, sciences, and languages.
  • Continuing the Distinguished Professor Project in Syria while expanding the scope of scholarships offered to high school graduates in all Syrian governorates without a specific limit on the number of accepted or accommodated students in this scholarship.
